Bread & Roses

Three pink roses lying on a stone

As the labor movement song (and poem) from the early 1900s goes, “Yes, it is bread we fight for, but we fight for roses too.” Today, we honor Labor Day and a world with more equity and economic justice. How does the call of “bread and roses” echo in the present? This morning we uplift the power of collaboration, beauty, and creativity in the journey for economic justice.
