A special treat for UUP hiking, art, and history enthusiasts!
We will tour Mare Island’s historic St. Peter’s Chapel, which contains a priceless collection of Tiffany stained glass windows, and then proceed to a hike on level ground along the Mare Island shoreline.
Meet at 9 a.m. sharp in the UCC parking lot to carpool, or meet at the Mare Island Museum at 10 a.m. (1100 Railroad Ave., Vallejo). We’ll proceed from the Museum to the Chapel for a tour that will last approximately an hour and a half.

The Chapel asks for a $5 per person donation for the tour.
After our tour, we’ll head over to the shoreline preserve for a hike of approximately 4 miles. (https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g33212-d181815-r185833175-Mare_Island_Naval_Shipyard-Vallejo_California.html)
