Most religious groups gather around some must-be-believed ideas. The Unitarian Universalist approach is otherwise, realizing that the spirit of love, especially in the development of Beloved Community, is far more than a feeling. It is a firm intention and effort to wish well for others, as others. It is a matter of being “other wise,” in every sense of that term.
