“Belief is the point at which we bring our thinking to an end” James Carse says in his book A Religious Case Against Belief. Dr. Thompson will be exploring the religious beliefs and practices used by ancient Israel framers of monotheism.

Dr. Eric Thompson received his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the Graduate Theological Union in cooperation with UC Berkeley and is currently the coordinator of religious studies for Santa Rosa Junior College. His courses include: Hebrew Bible, Early Christian Literature, History of God, History of Satan, Comparative Mythology, and Introduction to Religion.
