Ritual Words

While our services vary widely, we have rituals that remain consistent from week to week. Below are some of the ritual words we say each week:

Lighting the Chalice
This hour is sacred because we make it so.
As we light this flame,
We come together to celebrate life’s mysteries,
And to honor the spark of transcendent light
Within each of us.

Affirmation
Love is the doctrine of this church,
The quest for truth is its sacrament,
And service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace,
To seek knowledge in freedom,
To serve the world in fellowship,
To the end that all souls shall grow into harmony with the divine—
Thus do we worship together.
