Some UUP History
On January 6th, 2002, eight people got together to have the first meeting of the Unitarian Universalists of Petaluma.
Look how we've grown!
Monthly meetings were held through the summer of 2002, and weekly services began September 1st, 2002. Children are included in each service and later go off to their Religious Education (RE) classes.
Intergenerational service Petaluma is located half-way between two established Unitarian Universalist congregations: the UU Congregation of Marin (UUCM), located in San Rafael, and the UU Congregation of Santa Rosa (UUCSR). In the summer of 2002, UUCM performed a Rite of Blessing to honor some of the founders of UUP.
To get a better sense of who we are and what we stand for, please read the full text of UUP's Vision Statement. Our by-laws are also available online.
Our Photo Gallery contains photographs from UUP congregational retreats and local events in which we've participated.
