We are a community of religiously liberal people who gather on a weekly basis to share our values in a Sunday service setting, and who work (and play!) together to establish an atmosphere of principled seeking and ethical living on a day-to-day basis.
What to expect if you visit
We number around 60 members, and usually 30 to 50 will be in attendance on any given Sunday.
Some say that there is no such thing as a "typical" UUP Sunday service. Several things can be said, though.
We gather at 10 a.m. for pre-service social time, which includes, usually, coffee, tea, apple juice, and bagels. Our service begins at 10:30 a.m. We provide child care for the very young during the service, and older children may attend our Religious Education classes as guests. Children stay in the service for the first 15 minutes or so, which includes a story specifically for them, and then they leave to gather in their classes.
"New to UU" Visitors' Orientation: On the third Sunday of each month, we host a brief gathering immediately following the service for anyone interested in finding out more about Unitarian Universalism or about our congregation. Please join us, and bring your questions! Group meets near the fireplace.
