Rev. Mary Foran graduated from Starr King School for the Ministry in May 2010 and was ordained into the Unitarian Universalist ministry in December 2011. She began her ministry at UUP in August 2011. Her rich experience includes work as a community health organizer and a public health administrator. She is a singer who found Unitarian Universalism more than twenty-five years ago when she joined a choir … just to sing.
“The ministry I hope for will include joyous worship, filled with music and movement, words and silence. It will nurture compassionate community where listening is prized and learning for all ages is routine. It will foster the exploration and experimentation necessary to thrive in a multicultural world. The ministry I hope for will support building personal and organizational relationships that foster social and economic justice in the communities surrounding the congregation.
Above all this ministry will be a partnership with lay leaders and the entire congregation to envision and embody a Unitarian Universalist engaged presence in the world.”
Rev. Mary serves UUP half-time. She leads worship twice a month, works with the Board of Trustees and supports the lay leadership of UUP’s committees and task forces to bring UUP’s mission to life.

UUP is becoming a welcoming congregation.
